The King family in Savanna in 2004
King Family visit to Savanna in June 25 & 26 2004, at Buck's Barn between Savanna and Thomson. Dancers came in from seven states to dance to JACK MORGAN and the Russ Morgan Orchestra, and of course, to get a glimpse of Mrs. King, her son Wayne, Vocalist Nancy Evans and Ed Bolton who sang the newly composed WAYNE KING WALTZ.
The King Family: The photo includes the beautiful Mrs. Wayne King. Dorothy is the former silent film actress Dorothy Janis (1927-1930 and is still smart in front of the camera. Also, shown is son Wayne King, a gentleman, kind and charismatic like his dad and mom... tanned back and center. Cousins pictured are Jack King and his sister Carol Hardin King, Tom King and his wife Cindy. Jack, Carol and Tom King are children of Wayne King's eldest brother Chester (Chet) King.

Sandy King (wife of son Wayne), Vocalist Nancy Evans, Nancy's husband Charles, Mrs. Dorothy King (wife of the Waltz King) waiting for the parade to begin on June 26, 2004 in Savanna. Mrs. Dorothy King and her son Wayne were the Grand Marshals for the 150 year reenactment of the Grand Excursion on the Mississippi River from Rock Island, Illinois to St. Paul, Minnesota.
